The Pillow, The Sun and The Dinosaur(2025)
Produced by Pudding Club
‘YY Yong’s movement direction adds essential sparks to the text-heavy production, with mirroring sequences between grandmother and granddaughter that simultaneously advance the narrative and provide necessary comedic relief. ‘ Seen Anything Lately Review by Synth Lin
The Pillow, The Sun and The Dinosaur is a play about Alzheimer’s disease, describing the common symptoms of the disease and the daily life of patients, and exploring intergenerational relationships in depth.
Centred around Granny and her granddaughter BOBO, who are fighting a battle against time itself. In ‘The Pillow, The Sun and The Dinosaur’, they’re pacing together fragments of the past like a puzzle that keeps losing its pieces. It’s not just another story about Alzheimer’s - it’s about love that refuses to forgot, about finding strength in each other when everything else seems uncertain, and about how sometimes the smallest moments can create the strongest bonds between generations.
